A few days ago, I decided it was time to start cleaning up the gardens and yard. We had a nasty winter, so there were a lot of branches and pinecones on the ground. EVERYWHERE. Bleh.
Tulip leaves that had never been exposed to the sun! If I remember correctly from my biology classes, it’s because the chlorophyll never had a chance to develop. Does that sound right? They’ve been exposed to the sun (well, daylight anyway – the sun hasn’t been out much) for five days now, and they are mostly green. I wish they would have stayed fluorescent forever!
