Here’s how things are looking these days. Major kudos to Jason for doing the bulk of the planting this year. It wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t taken the reins this time around. When did life get so hectic?
Zucchini, pattypan squash, lemon cucumber, too many tomatoes…
Greens, too many peppers, herbs, beans…
Mr. Bumble (“He’s in my finger!” – name the movie)
A perennial garden
Joe Pye Weed
Allium (done blooming)
Some crazy-huge Tiger Lilies (and babies!) that we resuscitated from another part of the yard
Lots of baby lupine, and columbine
Asiatic lilies (and babies! there were only two of these in 2009)
A massive bleeding heart
…and the last few flowers of the season
An assortment of shade-tolerant, drought-tolerant, annoying Maple tree-tolerant plants
The one and only container that I did this year
Hydrangea (almost big enough to conceal the ugly fence!)
Some crazy-cool miniature sedum. We bought these last weekend at the Farmers Market. They remind me of sea creatures.
The Hens had Chicks!
