We were going to skip the Farmers Market this weekend, but I really wanted some more asparagus before the season ends so we ended up there on Sunday. Along with the asparagus, we ended up buying rhubarb, strawberries, asparagus, and some spring onions. Num.
I had picked up a couple of pork chops from Heartland’s Farm Direct Market on Saturday, but we were too busy running around that night to eat them.
The chops were rubbed with Basic BBQ Rub, then grilled. Since the grill was already going, the potatoes, asparagus, and onions went on there too. They were drizzled with some olive oil, sprinkled with some salt and pepper, and then wrapped in foil.
Dessert was strawberry-rhubarb cobbler. Did I really need to make an entire dish of this? Especially since there are only two of us and we are going out of town in two days? No, probably not. But it was tasty!
